Collapsible Microfiber Applicator Frame

The project’s goal was to create a foldable flat mop frame featuring a foot-operated switch for quick and hygienic removal of used mop pads.This was a straightforward project with minimal moving parts. Prototypes were made to rigorously test the switch’s release and lock functions, and to ensure the mop pad remained flat during operation. Leveraging critical, pre-tested features from a previous mop design expedited development. The pedals were color-coded to prevent cross-contamination. It’s an efficient cleaning tool trusted by restaurants, cafes, and leading fast-food chains like McDonald’s.
